Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat tree and shrub health concerns, including pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Execute daily solo field operations, completing 10 to 15 service routes to apply fertilizers and pesticides safely.
- Maintain, operate, and stock plant health care equipment, tools, and the provided company vehicle.
- Document all treatments, materials utilized, and follow-up requirements after conducting site inspections.
- Communicate professionally with clients and management regarding site conditions and service updates.
- Transition to general tree work or groundsman duties during the winter months to ensure continuous, year-round employment.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in plant health care, arboriculture, or a closely related field.
- Hold a valid Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License (specifically Core and either 3A or 3B) upon hire.
- Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Demonstrate strong working knowledge of tree and shrub pest and disease identification.
- Exhibit a level-headed, curious, and outdoors-passionate mindset, with the ability to manage independent, self-directed work.
- ISA Arborist Certification is considered a strong plus.
