R2 Landscape is hiring a Landscape Designer / Estimator / Sales Assistant to help us create clear, accurate, and buildable landscape designs for our clients.
We are looking for someone who is highly detailed, construction-minded, highly proficient in AutoCAD, and excellent at communication and listening. This person will work directly with clients to understand their vision, help identify the materials, finishes, and style they want, and help turn their ideas into a clear plan for their dream outdoor space.
This role is not just about making drawings look good. We need someone who understands how landscape projects are actually built in the field and can help create plans, takeoffs, and estimate information that our crews can actually build from.
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting with clients and listening carefully to their goals, style preferences, material preferences, and budget expectations
- Helping clients choose design direction, layouts, materials, colors, finishes, and outdoor features
- Creating professional landscape plans in AutoCAD
- Drafting layouts for hardscapes, planting, turf, irrigation, rock, mulch, retaining walls, concrete, fencing, and outdoor living areas
- Performing material takeoffs from plans and site measurements
- Assisting with preparing accurate landscape estimates
- Reviewing drawings for missing details, scope gaps, and constructability issues
- Helping organize project information for sales, estimating, and production teams
- Making plan revisions based on client feedback, field conditions, and internal review
- Supporting the sales process by helping clients understand options and design direction
- Potentially helping create and manage social media content for R2 Landscape
The ideal candidate is:
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- A strong communicator and excellent listener
- Comfortable working directly with clients
- Able to understand a client’s vision and turn it into a clear design direction
- Familiar with landscape construction and installation methods
- Able to read plans, measurements, sketches, and site photos
- Comfortable with takeoffs, quantities, and estimating support
- Good at identifying potential problems before they reach the field
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects
- Creative, professional, and excited about helping clients bring their dream outdoor space to life
