Position Summary
Grass Plus is seeking a Sales Manager to expand business opportunities in reclamation, landscaping, environmental services, and large-scale project work. This position is responsible for developing new client relationships, identifying qualified project opportunities, and securing contracts in partnership with the company's operations team.
The ideal candidate has experience in B2B sales within construction, landscaping, environmental services, or another project-based service industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, municipalities, property managers, and other commercial clients
- Source new project opportunities through bid platforms, planning tools, industry contacts, referrals, and networking
- Manage conversations with prospective clients to understand scope, timelines, budgets, and project requirements
- Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, client meetings, and industry events
- Collaborate with internal operations teams to prepare accurate, competitive proposals
- Track sales activity, opportunities, follow-ups, and client information in the CRM
- Provide consistent pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and opportunity status reports
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a clear handoff from signed contract to project kickoff
- Follow up with prospects in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications
- Experience in construction, landscaping, environmental services, reclamation, or related B2B sales
- Proven ability to generate new business and grow client relationships
- Familiarity with project-based, contract-based, or service-based sales cycles
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple active opportunities, deadlines, and client conversations
- Comfortable attending site visits, meetings, and industry events as needed
- CRM experience preferred
Compensation
- Base salary: $60,000 to $80,000 annually
- Commission: performance-based and uncapped
- Expected total earnings: $90,000 to $180,000 annually, based on results
Performance Goals
- Annual sales target of approximately $6 million in awarded work
- Maintain an active sales pipeline aligned with company goals, approximately 3x annual target value
- Target close rate of approximately 30% on qualified opportunities
- Consistent, timely follow-up with prospective clients
- Professional communication with clients, partners, and internal team members
