Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving new revenue growth, expanding market presence, and supporting the execution of Visterra's regional sales strategy. This role partners closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and Regional President to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring disciplined pipeline management. This position requires a strong sales mindset, operational awareness, and consistent regional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive $2M+ in new contracted revenue annually through new business development and strategic market expansion.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across assigned regional markets.
- Build and maintain a consistent sales pipeline, including prospecting, lead generation, and opportunity management.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, reporting, and CRM discipline to support regional and company-wide revenue planning.
- Partner with operations leadership to ensure smooth transition from sale to service delivery and long-term account success.
- Manage and grow key accounts by driving renewals, expansions, and long-term retention.
- Represent the Company in client meetings, industry events, trade shows, and regional networking opportunities.
- Support marketing and regional leadership with local campaigns and initiatives to increase market visibility.
- Support and reinforce a high-performance, metrics-driven sales culture through accountability and execution.
- Participate in ongoing sales training and development while staying current on market trends and competitor activity.
- Manage, track performance, and centralize best practices for territory sales managers across the South Region.
- Drive overall direction and strategy for the sales organization across the South Region.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding new business sales goals.
- Experience selling services in landscaping, facilities services, construction, or other recurring service industries preferred.
- Strong consultative selling skills, including negotiation, closing, and objection handling.
- Ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships with professionalism and credibility.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect sales strategy to operational execution.
- Highly organized with strong time management and pipeline discipline.
- Experience using CRM tools and reporting to track performance and forecast accurately.
- Comfortable operating in a remote environment with frequent regional travel requirements.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and execution-focused with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
