Administrative Manager I – Purchasing Manager
THIS RECRUITMENT WILL BE OPEN FOR TWO WEEKS.
THE RECRUITMENT
This recruitment will be used to establish a County Only eligible list for Administrative Manager I/Purchasing, until the next recruitment. There is one current vacant positions in this assignment.

GENERAL DUTIES
Performs analytical and administrative duties and responsibilities in support of the HCS/Budget and Support Function in the Purchasing Section.
- Performs all departmental purchasing functions including but not limited to Requests for Proposals, Invitation for Bids, price agreements, purchase orders, and supply purchasing.
- Manages the department’s insurance database and supply inventory system.
- Supervises subordinate staff.
Required Technical Skills
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years directly related experience performing analytical, administrative and/or management duties and responsibilities in the areas of County purchasing and supervision of subordinate personnel. Must possess a current deputized purchasing agent certification.

On March 18, 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved the creation of OC Community Resources. OC Community Resources consists of OC Animal Care, OC Community Services, OC Parks, and OC Public Libraries.

The OCCR Human Resources Division screens all applications and supplemental information forms to identify the qualified candidates. The more qualified candidates will be referred to the next step.
