Responsibilities
- Direct and lead a dedicated crew in the installation of pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, and outdoor fire features.
- Interpret and execute architectural blueprints, landscape designs, and grading plans accurately.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including skid steers, mini-excavators, and saws, prioritizing site safety.
- Monitor and record daily material usage, labor hours, and project milestones to ensure profitable, on-time completion.
- Mentor and train junior technicians on advanced masonry techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with project managers and property owners regarding site progress.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on professional experience in hardscape installation and residential construction.
- Proven track record in a supervisory or crew lead capacity, successfully managing small teams.
- Strong proficiency in transit leveling, shooting grades, and calculating material yields.
- Expertise in safely operating trucks, trailers, and standard earth-moving equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record (CDL or DOT medical card is a plus).
- Exceptional physical stamina with the ability to perform rigorous work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
