Job Title: Landscape Delivery Driver

JOB SUMMARY: The Landscape Delivery Driver plays a key role in supporting daily landscape operations by safely transporting plant material, bulk materials, and equipment to and from job sites. This is a non‑CDL driving position requiring strong organization, safe driving habits, and reliability. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced outdoor work environment and represents Roots Landscape with professionalism during vendor or client interactions. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Background Check and a Drug & Alcohol screening. Roots adheres to the regulations of the DHS E-Verify Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safely deliver and pick up plant material, bulk materials, and landscape equipment to and from various job sites.
- Ensure all loads are properly secured to prevent shifting, damage, or falling materials.
- Confirm that proper equipment is available to unload materials safely.
- Purchase materials from approved vendors as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain safe driving practices at all times.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure vehicles remain in proper working condition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid, clean driver’s license.
- Must pass a DOT physical and maintain a current medical card.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to load/unload trucks using a skid steer.
- Experience with a skid steer and/or mini excavator is a plus but not required.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Good attitude, strong work ethic, and trustworthy character.
- Solid communication skills for occasional client-facing interactions.
