As a Plant Nursery Outdoor Crew Leader, you'll be a critical member of our team that helps maintain the nursery, working as a team player to fill gaps as needed in order get the job done. This is a fast-paced job, and you will need to be able to handle the pressure of time crunches. We are willing to compensate hard-working people!
Responsibilities
- Help load and unload trucks and prepare material for sale: Move items to the correct location in the nursery and provide water.
- Water, prune and fertilize plants. Pull weeds and help with the general upkeep of polyhouses.
- Help move plant material in and out of polyhouses in early spring and fall. Trim plants and clean polyhouses in fall.
- Help weekend crew with watering, potting, truck unloading, and plant maintenance as needed.
- Operate nursery equipment.
Qualifications
- This is a physical job working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Organized with the ability to multitask
- Although experience in the green industry is a plus, no previous industry experience is required. We are willing to train the right person!
