Overview
Artisan Outdoor Craftsman creates custom outdoor living environments designed around how homeowners use their space. We are seeking a professional who can combine design insight with consultative sales to guide clients from initial ideas through signed project agreements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with homeowners, developing tailored solutions, and contributing to projects that are carried through to construction.
Position Details
- Employment type: Full-time
- Classification: W-2 employee
- Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday; some evening and weekend appointments based on client availability
Compensation
- Pay structure: commission on closed projects
- On-target earnings (OTE): $65,000 - $75,000 annually
- Pay schedule: Bi-weekly

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home consultations to understand client goals, preferences, and budget
- Develop customized outdoor living concepts and present design recommendations
- Prepare detailed proposals, including scope, pricing, and timelines
- Guide clients through the decision-making and contract process
- Maintain consistent communication throughout the pre-construction phase
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project handoff
Required Qualifications
- Experience in consultative sales, home improvement sales, or design-related sales
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple active client projects
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in outdoor living, landscaping, construction, or remodeling
- Experience using CRM systems, design tools, or estimating software
