We complete an average of 10–12 jobs per week and are growing. We’re hiring a Field Operations Manager to oversee daily job operations, manage field crews, ensure quality control, and keep projects running efficiently and on schedule.
Role Summary
You’ll own the schedule, quality, and performance of multiple subcontractor crews between Austin and San Antonio. Your job is to make sure the right crews are on the right jobs, work gets done to our standards, homeowners are happy, and we squeeze the most revenue out of every route.
The Field Operations Manager will also oversee hiring, training, evaluating, and management of Subcontractors. In addition, this role requires consistent communication with the Front Office Manager regarding scheduling updates, crew availability, job reschedules, and follow-ups on incomplete work to ensure seamless operations.
This position also plays a key role in revenue growth by identifying upsell opportunities with existing clients and proactively reaching out to neighboring properties to generate additional closes. Performance in upselling and neighborhood outreach directly ties into the bonus structure for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee job quality control and ensure all work meets company standards
- Hire, train and continuously evaluate Subcontractor Crews on performance to our standards.
- Hire and Fire Subcontractor Crews as needed
- Coordinate with the Front Office Manager regarding scheduling, reschedules, and crew availability
- Build, own, and adjust the daily and weekly schedule for all subcontractor crews.
- Ensure jobs are completed within the expected timeframe and budgeted scope
- Handle on-site problem-solving and decision-making as needed
- Upsell existing clients and reach out to neighboring properties to generate additional closes; performance directly ties to bonus structure.
- Ensure safety protocols and company procedures are followed at all times
- Ensure we get quality before and after pictures of each job
What Success Looks Like
All Subcontractors arrive on time and consistently execute job tasks correctly with minimal to no issues during service. Subcontractors are properly trained, regularly evaluated, and continuously improving their performance. Return jobs are rare due to high-quality workmanship and thorough oversight. Jobs are completed efficiently, within scope, and to company standards. Clients are satisfied, communication between the field and office is seamless, and operations run smoothly without delays or confusion.
Requirements
- 3-4+ year experience in Subcontractor Management
- 3-4+ Experience in landscaping/tree trimming
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage, motivate, and hold crews accountable
- Ability to problem-solve independently in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Speaks english (would prefer someone who can also speak spanish)
- Will need to be available some weekends
- Live near the ATX or SA area
Benefits
- $50,000-$65,000 yearly base salary with pay weekly
- Opportunity for an additional $30,000-$50,000 in bonuses from correct completed job and upsells
- Total OTE of $80,000-$115,000
- Quarterly compensation for gas and equipment
- 5-10 days of PTO a year
