LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION CREW LEAD
Transformed Landscaping Co. | Central Texas
$27–$31 per hour | Full-time | In person
Can you take a landscape plan, lay out the work, and lead a crew
through a quality installation?
Transformed Landscaping Co. is looking for an experienced, hands-on
Crew Lead who takes pride in the finished product and knows how to
keep a jobsite organized, productive, and safe.
You’ll lead and work alongside a crew of approximately 2–8 people on
residential landscape construction projects. This is a working
leadership position, not a role supervising from the sidelines. You
should be comfortable making day-to-day decisions, catching problems
early, and communicating with the Project Manager when conditions or
scope change.
Our focus is landscape construction and installation, not routine
mowing and lawn maintenance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Read construction plans, establish accurate layouts, and organize
the installation sequence.
- Set daily priorities, assign work, and make sure the crew
understands the expected result.
- Work alongside the crew, teach proper techniques, and check quality
throughout the installation.
- Coordinate materials, equipment, labor, and subcontractors to keep
work moving.
- Perform and oversee hardscape installation, grading, soil
preparation, planting, demolition, and irrigation work.
- Operate equipment and tools safely, including skid steers, mini
excavators, mini skid steers, tracked loaders, and saws.
- Track labor, materials, and progress against project schedules and budgets.
- Communicate clearly with clients and management. Identify issues and
recommend solutions before making changes to approved plans.
- Maintain an organized jobsite and complete final walkthroughs.
WHAT WE NEED
- At least 3 years of experience leading a landscape construction or
related construction crew.
- Demonstrated ability to take a project from layout through completion.
- Strong practical knowledge of landscape construction, hardscape
installation, grading, planting, and irrigation.
- Experience installing or overseeing irrigation systems.
- The ability to delegate, train crew members, and address performance
issues respectfully and directly.
- Reliable follow-through, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to
safely operate company vehicles and trailers as required.
Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is active outdoor construction work in varying weather
conditions. Duties include digging, bending, lifting, twisting, and
carrying, including safely moving materials weighing up to
approximately 80 pounds.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $27–$31 per hour.
- Full-time employment.
- Paid on-the-job training and leadership development.
- Cross-training in equipment, irrigation, hardscape, and landscape
construction.
- Opportunities to advance into Project Management.
- Use of company tools and equipment for approved personal projects.
- Increasing project ownership and input on tools, crew development,
and jobsite operations.
We value craftsmanship, accountability, and clear communication. We
want a lead who takes ownership of the work and helps the people
around them get better.

starting with the plans. How do you verify the layout, organize
materials and equipment, and assign work to your crew?
2. Describe the hardest construction problem on a recent project you
led. What was the problem, how did you resolve it, and what was the
outcome?
3. For that project, how many people did you lead, and which parts did
