Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Landscaper role based in Virginia Beach, VA. The Landscaper will perform day-to-day landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and general grounds upkeep for commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities include planting and caring for trees, shrubs, and flowers, assisting with landscape installations, and supporting irrigation system upkeep and basic troubleshooting. The role also involves safely operating landscaping tools and equipment, following company safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work site. The Landscaper will work as part of a crew, follow project plans and supervisor instructions, and interact professionally with clients and team members to support high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform landscape maintenance tasks, including Landscaping and Landscape Maintenance, with attention to safety and quality.
- Skills in Gardening, including planting, pruning, and caring for turf, trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Basic knowledge of Irrigation systems, including monitoring, minor adjustments, and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Exposure to or interest in Landscape Design principles to support installation and enhancement projects.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability, with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks on schedule.
- Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and use tools and equipment responsibly; prior experience with landscaping equipment is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred; previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience is beneficial.
