This full-time, year-round Arborist Foreman role focuses on confidently leading a 2 to 4-person crew through all types of tree care operations, ranging from proper pruning techniques to large crane removals. The primary objective is to execute safe, efficient tree work by utilizing both heavy machinery and climbing skills in tight spaces. As a foreman, the chosen candidate will also actively train and mentor newer team members on industry safety standards and equipment operation.

Compensation & Benefits
- $32.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Manage and safely guide crews of 2 to 4 people through various tree care jobs, ranging from detailed pruning to large tree removals.
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, chippers, stump grinders, skid steers with grapples, crane rigging, and spider lifts.
- Utilize climbing skills to access and maintain trees in tight spaces where heavy machinery cannot reach.
- Train and mentor crew members of varying experience levels on the skills needed to work safely and effectively in the tree care industry.
- Perform basic mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment, including swapping chainsaw chains and changing spark plugs, oil, and air filters.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and driving policies while maintaining an honest, proactive, and positive attitude.
Requirements
- Possess 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in the tree care industry.
- Demonstrate strong climbing abilities alongside heavy machinery operation experience.
- Hold a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record to meet company vehicle insurance qualifications.
- Pass mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and comply with random DOT testing requirements.
- Preferred but not required: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), ISA Certification, and a pesticide license/certification.
