Role Description The Landscape Professional is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, AL, responsible for installing, maintaining, and improving outdoor landscapes for a range of client properties. Day-to-day tasks include planting trees, shrubs, and flowers; laying sod; spreading mulch; and assisting with hardscape elements such as edging, pathways, and garden structures. The role involves operating and maintaining landscaping tools and equipment, performing routine lawn care (mowing, trimming, fertilizing), and ensuring work areas are clean and safe. The Landscape Professional will follow project plans and instructions, collaborate with team members and supervisors, and interact professionally with clients when needed. This position requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and adhering to company standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor construction, including planting, lawn care, and basic hardscape work.
- Ability to safely operate and maintain common landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools).
- Knowledge of basic plant care, soil preparation, and seasonal maintenance practices is beneficial.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and working on uneven terrain.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively on job sites.
- Commitment to safety protocols and attention to detail in completing projects to specification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to Birmingham, AL job sites preferred
