Role Description The Gardener role at U.S. Lawns is a full-time, on-site position based in Biloxi, MS. This role is responsible for performing daily landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep commercial properties healthy and visually appealing. The Gardener assists with irrigation checks and basic repairs, seasonal color installation, mulching, and clean-up of debris to support safe, well-maintained grounds. The role may also involve supporting hardscape care, fertilization, and weed control under the guidance of the crew leader or supervisor. The Gardener works as part of a field team, following safety procedures, using landscape equipment correctly, and delivering dependable, professional service for clients.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Landscape Maintenance and Landscaping tasks, including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning on commercial properties.
- Hands-on experience with Gardening and Garden Design, such as planting, mulching, and maintaining flower beds and shrubs.
- Basic knowledge of Irrigation systems, including checking coverage, identifying leaks, and assisting with minor adjustments.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and to lift, carry, and use landscape equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with crew members and supervisors.
- Prior commercial landscaping or groundskeeping experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Biloxi, MS work site are beneficial.
