Responsibilities
- Plan and organize daily routes to maximize resource efficiency and ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Execute comprehensive horticultural duties, encompassing planting installations, pruning, weed management, and pest control treatments to maintain optimal plant health.
- Supervise and mentor a field crew of two or more, handling on-site personnel matters and instructing staff on safety and operational policies.
- Operate diverse power equipment safely—including trucks, trailers, mowers, blowers, and augers—while maintaining clean and secure work sites.
- Evaluate plant health and pest problems on-site, offering actionable recommendations or executing immediate remedial steps according to company guidelines.
- Collaborate daily with the operations team to suggest account improvements and actively support the team on internal platforms like Slack.
Requirements
- Hold a high school diploma, though a two-year degree in Horticulture is preferred.
- Bring 3 to 5 years of professional landscaping experience, backed by at least 1 to 3 years in a direct crew leadership role.
- Possess a valid driver’s license to safely operate company vehicles.
- Showcase exceptional problem-solving abilities to make swift decisions and delegate tasks efficiently.
