OVERVIEW:
The primary duty of the Landscaping Manager is to maintain the grounds on campus and to ensure the campus is always in presentable condition year round, while leading the residents assisting in the industry. Meeting those goals entails additional responsibilities, tasks, knowledge, and attention to detail.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Care of Grounds:
- Plan and orchestrate the landscaping, hardscaping, care, and maintenance of the grounds at No Longer Bound
- Perform repairs and improvements on grounds as needed or directed by superior
- Handle the logistics of these repairs, while in communication with the direct supervisor
- Ensure the clean up of the job site at the end of each day
- Organize, maintain, and secure the tools, equipment, and material used by the team
Lead Residents working in Landscaping:
- Lead and train the residents in landscaping and groundskeeping, along with doing all documentation required for their program
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Experience: Experience in facilities, maintenance, and/or construction
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Good time management skills
- Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to individuals in recovery.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to coach and train others in a compassionate and educational way
- Physical Demands: The employee in this position will need to stand, walk, and move around the campus to oversee operations and address maintenance issues. This person may need to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds to move equipment and supplies. They may need to access areas that require climbing ladders or working on elevated platforms, along with reaching and working in tight spaces or under equipment at times. Close vision is needed for tasks like reading work orders, using tools, and examining details. The Facilities Manager may be exposed to various environments, including those with moderate to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and noise.
