We are seeking a customer-focused Nursery Yard Associate to support daily outdoor wholesale operations and ensure a positive client experience. This hands-on role is essential for maintaining a clean, healthy, and highly organized nursery yard while providing friendly guidance and plant selection support to professional clients.
Based in Wixom, MI, our client is a respected, multi-generational wholesale nursery serving licensed landscape contractors exclusively for over 50 years. - Consistent schedule: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday, with seasonal Saturdays (7:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. from April 1st to October 1st)

Responsibilities
- Assist customers with the selection, preparation, and safe loading of plant material into their vehicles.
- Provide expert, friendly guidance to clients regarding plant care and ongoing maintenance.
- Unload, process, and accurately organize incoming shipments to maintain an efficient inventory flow.
- Plant, pot, and maintain the health of container-grown shrubs, trees, and perennials through regular watering, pruning, and daily care.
- Assist the operational team with the careful harvesting and handling of field-grown trees.
- Uphold the cleanliness, safety, and overall organization of the outdoor nursery yard.
Requirements
- Proven ability to work efficiently outdoors in all weather conditions within a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to safely and consistently lift heavy materials throughout the workday.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Previous plant knowledge or experience in a landscaping/nursery environment is highly preferred, though not strictly required.
- Comfort operating heavy machinery or nursery equipment is an advantage (full training will be provided).
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is beneficial but not essential for consideration.
