Job Overview
The Regional Sales Leader is responsible for driving sales growth and market expansion across an assigned region within the landscaping industry. This leader will oversee a team of 8-12 Business Developers (BDs), providing strategic direction, coaching, and support to meet and exceed sales targets. The role requires a strong understanding of the landscaping industry, sales process, and customer relationship management, with a focus on developing new business opportunities and growing existing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Business Developers across the region, setting clear performance goals and sales targets.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company objectives to expand market share and increase revenue.
- Coaching & Development: Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to the Business Developer team, ensuring continuous improvement in sales effectiveness.
- Client Relationship Management: Oversee key accounts and provide support in cultivating new client relationships while expanding opportunities with existing clients.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to identify new sales opportunities and areas for growth.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on sales performance, pipeline, and forecast data to executive leadership. Use data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and marketing, to ensure alignment on business objectives, customer needs, and service delivery.
- Budget Management: Manage regional sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve sales goals.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the landscaping or a related service-based industry.
- Proven track record of managing and developing sales teams to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Strong knowledge of the landscaping industry, including service offerings, seasonal trends, and client needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as needed within the region.
