Landscape Installer position. 6 Temporary/Full-time seasonal positions available with Abrahamson Nurseries from 04/01/2026 - 11/15/2026 at 20021 St. Croix Tr. N., MN 55073 and multiple locations within Washington, Chisago, and Dakota counties. Duties include: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Performs a variety of task, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, pruning, fertilizing, digging, raking, and instillation of sprinklers, retaining walls, walkways, and water features using (mortarless) interlocking concrete masonry blocks. The job will require the worker to: gather and remove litter; use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes; powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, pruning saws, or rototillers; water lawns, trees, or plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans; prune or trim ground-level trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws; spray or spread commercial fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto grass, shrubs, or trees, using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders; care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls ; follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant flowers or foliage; trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds; attach wires from planted trees to support stakes; plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs and apply mulch for protection, using gardening tools; mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers; rake, mulch, and compost leaves; decorate gardens with stones or plants; provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features; Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring; maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning; install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, fences, planters, or playground equipment; haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place; dispose of trash or waste materials from site; plan or cultivate lawns, turf, or gardens; clean facilities or sites to ensure that all waste and litter is placed in proper receptacles and all tools, equipment, and supplies are organized and stored properly; remove debris from work sites. Worker will be exposed to weather, outdoors, noise, hot/cold temperatures and will need to wear common protective/safety equipment. The job will require the worker to have attention to detail and integrity, and be thorough in completing work tasks, cooperative, and responsible. Terms & Conditions of Employment: The work schedule is from Monday-Friday 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. The worker may be offered more than the stated hours per day, depending on weather and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain, or drought may affect exact working hours. Work on Saturdays may be required as necessary. The wage rate is no less than $22.32 per hour with at least 35 hours per week. Overtime hours are available as needed varying from 1 to 10 hours. Overtime rate of pay is $33.48 per hour. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (bi-weekly) by check. Availability of On-the-Job Training: The employer will provide on-the-job training to all workers. Inbound/Outbound Transportation: The employer will pay in advance or reimburse H-2B workers in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). For workers outside reasonable commuting distances, inbound transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary lodging) to the place of employment will be reimbursed, if the worker completes half of the employment period (50% period) if not already paid in full prior to the 50% period. Return transportation and subsistence will be provided or paid for to same worker if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer except where the worker has employment with a subsequent employer. Transportation payments or reimbursements will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily meals will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day of travel rot he current minimum subsistence amount published in the Federal Register, to a maximum of $68.00 per day or the current maximum amount published in the Federal Register to workers with acceptable receipts. Daily Transportation: Daily transportation to and from the worksite from a centralized designated pick-up location will be offered to foreign and non-local U.S. workers. The use of this transportation is voluntary. 3/4th Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment and ending on the expiration date specified in this job order or its extension, if any. The employer may include all hours actually worked as well as any hours offered consistent with the job order that a worker chooses to not work, up to the maximum number of daily hours on the job order. If worker separation is due to voluntary abandonment, the employer will not be responsible for providing or paying return transportation and subsistence expenses of the worker and the worker is not entitled to the full three-quarter period guarantee described above. Provision of Tools, Equipment, & Supplies: Employer will provide without charge company specific uniform and all tools, supplies and equipment necessary to perform duties assigned. Single Work Week Guarantee & Frequency of Pay: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The pay period is biweekly on Friday by check. Deductions from Worker's Pay: The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law. The employer will make preauthorized elective deductions such as for the reasonable fair market value cost of rent and/or utilities for those employees who voluntarily elect to live in employer offered housing. The employer does not envision other workforce-wide payroll deductions. Provision of Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: Employer intends to assist foreign and non-local U.S. workers hired pursuant to this job order to secure worker-paid lodging not to exceed reasonable fair market value cost based on number of occupants.
