Job Summary
Cornerstone, headquartered in Dade City, is seeking an experienced Construction Worker to join our team. We specialize in commercial building projects, ranging from minor hardscape features to large-scale amenity centers. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of handling diverse tasks, and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting client deadlines. Responsibilities

Job Site Preparation and Cleanup: Prepare job sites for construction activities, including clearing debris, removing obstructions, and ensuring a safe and organized work area. This includes prep and clean up of job area.

Site Maintenance: Perform general site maintenance, including sweeping of job areas, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment throughout the project.

Tool and Equipment Management: Ensure all tools and equipment are properly used, maintained, and returned to their designated storage locations after use.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA and Company safety guidelines and procedures at all times. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to a culture of safety on the job site.

Supervision and Direction: Work under the supervision and direction of the Foreman, following instructions and completing assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.

General Construction Tasks:Perform a variety of general construction tasks, including but not limited to:
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading concrete.
- Assisting with the erection of structures and frameworks.
- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Operating hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, hammers, drills, saws).
- Digging trenches and excavations.
- Assisting with formwork and shoring.

Hardscaping Tasks:Execute a range of hardscaping duties, including but not limited to:
- Installing pavers, stones, and other hardscape materials for walkways, patios, and driveways.
- Constructing retaining walls.
- Assisting with the installation of outdoor features such as fire pits, water features, and outdoor kitchens.
- Grading and leveling surfaces.
- Preparing sub-bases for hardscape installations.

Material Handling: Safely and efficiently handle, move, and store construction materials, including lifting heavy objects.

Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and cooperating with other crew members and subcontractors.
Required Skills

Instruction Following: Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written directions accurately and efficiently.

Construction Experience: Demonstrated general construction/building experience, with a solid understanding of basic construction principles and practices.

Physical Stamina: Ability to withstand Florida weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and occasional rain, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Focus and Independence: Ability to maintain focus on assigned tasks with minimal supervision, while also being able to work effectively as part of a team.

Communication Skills: Proficiency in English is essential. Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.

Transportation: Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to personal transportation to travel to and from job sites.
