Role Description The Landscaper role is a full-time, on-site position located in Midland, MI. In this role, the Landscaper performs day-to-day landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and general garden care. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining plants, trees, and shrubs, assisting with irrigation system setup and repairs, and supporting basic landscape design implementation such as bed layout and hardscape detailing. The role also involves safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment, cleanup of work areas, and collaboration with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to quality standards. The Landscaper interacts professionally with clients and supervisors, following project plans and company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in landscaping and landscape maintenance, including routine lawn care and outdoor property upkeep.
- Skills in gardening and plant care, such as planting, pruning, and maintaining healthy garden beds.
- Experience with irrigation systems, including basic installation, troubleshooting, and adjustments.
- Understanding of landscape design principles and the ability to help implement design plans on-site.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power equipment, and machinery commonly used in landscaping work.
- Physical capability to perform outdoor labor, including lifting, bending, standing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow instructions and work with diverse team members and clients.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Midland, MI.
