Landscape Purchasing ManagerNear Garner, NCResponsibilities:- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials and supplies- Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price, quality, and terms for purchased items- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers-Provide plant material photos as needed for certain jobs- Collaborate with internal team such as production planning and sales teams to understand demand forecasts and ensure adequate supply- Manage contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions-print labels and tag materials prior to being brought in to our holding yard.- Oversee logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods-Ensure growers deliver high-quality material- -Reconcile and approve purchase orders and invoices for plantsQualifications:-Good driving record and ability to drive a landscape truck and trailer for plant pickups and deliveries.- Extensive knowledge of plant materials including shrubs, trees and perennials- Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar role- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices- Familiarity with inventory control methods and techniques- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build strong supplier relationships- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
