We are looking for a skilled Landscape Installation Foreperson to join our small team! Collaborating with the design team and project manager, this position will be instrumental in overseeing project build workflows, installing hardscape, softscape, and irrigation elements, from groundbreaking through tying up punch-list type loose ends. This position will supervise and help guide the install crew in delivering high quality residential and commercial landscapes in Northern Colorado. This is a seasonal, hourly position; hours/work available is expected to be full time (32-40 hours a week, with occasional days off between projects) April through November, ramping up in the beginning of the season, and tailing off at the end.
Minimum Experience:
- (5) years of professional landscape installation experience, or demonstrated understanding of general landscape construction processes from start to finish.
- Hardscape and softscape installation; placing boulders, building paver patios, working with flagstone, amending soil, sod removal, planting, etc.
- Knowledge of landscape irrigation.
- Working with heavy equipment (primarily skid loaders and mini skid loaders).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable transportation (Based in Fort Collins, most of our work is in Northern Colorado, but we do have occasional clients along the Front Range).
- Demonstrated experience managing and supervising a landscape construction crew.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate the many moving parts of a project and job site, being mindful of the end goal.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Superior work ethic and dependability.
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team, as well as individually.
- Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs. many times a day.
- Ability to be on your feet, working outdoors, 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
Preferred experience:
- Knowledge of Colorado plants and/or ecological gardening a plus.
- Fine gardening and seasonal maintenance
- Demonstrated experience with trailering and hauling.
- Demonstrated passion for sustainability and the environment.
