Company: Integrated Turf Care
Location: South Florida (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach & Martin Counties)
Classification: Full-Time | Non-Exempt (Hourly) | Overtime Eligible
License Required: Valid Florida Driver's License; CDL or dump truck experience a strong plus
Language: English required; Haitian Creole highly preferred
Position Overview
The Landscape Project Manager is a pivotal field-and-office hybrid role at Integrated Turf Care. This individual owns the full lifecycle of landscape installation and enhancement projects — from the moment an estimate is approved through final client walkthrough — while simultaneously serving as a cross-functional planning resource for ITC's irrigation, fertilization, pest control, tree services, and ad hoc service operations.
When not running an active installation, this person is embedded in day-to-day operations: coordinating schedules, supporting service planning, conducting quality site visits, and identifying enhancement opportunities. They are deeply fluent in South Florida horticulture, trusted by clients, and respected by crews. They move fluidly between the field and the conference table, and they set the standard for how ITC executes.
Core Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Review and internalize approved estimates prior to project kickoff; clarify scope, budget, and client expectations with the sales team
- Develop detailed project plans including phased schedules, crew assignments, equipment needs, and client communication milestones
- Procure plant material, hardscape supplies, soil amendments, and equipment; vet vendors, compare pricing, and manage purchase orders
- Coordinate subcontractors when volume or specialty scope requires, ensuring quality and schedule compliance
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle; communicate proactively on timeline, changes, and completion
- Lead pre-installation site walkthroughs and post-installation punch list inspections
- Exercise direct supervisory authority over ITC install crews — assign tasks, set daily priorities, and ensure performance meets ITC standards on every job site
- Train install crew members on proper planting techniques, material handling, site preparation, clean-up procedures, and ITC quality standards; onboard new crew hires to field expectations
- Observe and evaluate crew performance in the field; document findings and submit structured performance feedback to ownership on a regular basis
- Operate company vehicles including dump trucks when required; valid Florida driver's license required and CDL or dump truck experience is a strong plus
Cross-Functional Operations Support
- When not running active installations, serve as a planning and coordination resource across all ITC service lines
- Support scheduling and logistics for recurring services (lawn maintenance rotations, fertilization programs, pest control treatments, irrigation inspections)
- Assist in coordinating ad hoc service events — emergency tree work, storm response, special client requests — ensuring resources are in place and crews are briefed
- Collaborate with the Irrigation Manager, Head of Quality, and lawn foremen to align field activity with client schedules and service commitments
- Identify and flag scheduling conflicts, resource gaps, and capacity constraints to leadership proactively
Quality Control & Site Inspections
- Conduct unannounced and scheduled quality site visits across the service portfolio — not limited to active projects
- Document site conditions, crew performance, and landscape health; report findings to ownership
- Hold crews accountable to ITC standards for plant care, mulch depth, edging, clean-up, and overall presentation
- Identify warranty items or unresolved installation issues and drive resolution
Enhancement Identification & Estimating
- During site visits, proactively identify landscaping enhancement opportunities — plant replacements, new bed designs, irrigation upgrades, seasonal color, tree work — and present recommendations to clients and the sales team
- Assist with the preparation of enhancement estimates using LMN and other ITC tools; coordinate with the Head of Account Management on proposal strategy and pricing
- Develop and maintain relationships with property managers and facility managers to build trust and position ITC as the preferred long-term partner
South Florida Plant & Horticultural Expertise
- Serve as ITC's on-staff horticultural authority for plant selection, layout, and specification in South Florida conditions
- Advise on species selection considering salt tolerance, drought tolerance, SFWMD water use classifications, and regional pest pressure
- Recognize and communicate signs of nutrient deficiency, disease, insect damage, and irrigation stress to relevant teams
- Stay current on Florida-Friendly Landscaping principles, FDEP best management practices, and county-level landscape ordinances
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial landscape installation, project management, or a closely related field in South Florida
- Demonstrated fluency with South Florida plant species, soil conditions, and climate — this is non-negotiable
- Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record; ability to operate and/or obtain authorization to operate dump trucks and other commercial vehicles
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from planning through completion, on time and on budget
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills — able to work effectively with sales, field crews, office staff, clients, and vendors simultaneously
- English fluency required — written and verbal; ability to communicate clearly with clients, ownership, and office staff
- High degree of organizational discipline — able to manage procurement, scheduling, and documentation across multiple active projects
- Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn landscape business management software (ITC uses LMN, Pro Landscape, and Google Workspace)
Preferred
- Florida Certified Landscape Designer or equivalent credential
- ISA Certified Arborist or demonstrated arboricultural knowledge
- Florida Lawn & Ornamental (L&O) Pest Control License (6E)
- Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) Certification
- Experience reading and interpreting landscape plans, grading drawings, and irrigation as-builts
- Haitian Creole proficiency highly preferred given ITC's field workforce composition; Spanish a plus
- CDL or documented experience operating dump trucks, trailers, and skid steers
- Prior experience with LMN, Pro Landscape, or comparable landscape business platform
