Position Summary
Dot Palm Landscaping, a proud member of the GreenWorks Landscape Partners family of landscape and tree care companies, is seeking an experienced Sales Arborist to serve as a trusted advisor to our residential, HOA, and commercial clients throughout the Florida Keys. This role combines professional arboricultural expertise with consultative sales responsibilities. The Sales Arborist will evaluate tree health and risk, design compliant scopes of work, navigate local permitting requirements, and convert recommendations into approved proposals while coordinating closely with our production teams.
This position is primarily field-based and customer-facing, with a strong emphasis on professionalism, regulatory compliance, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Tree Evaluation & Client Consultation
- Conduct on-site tree inspections throughout the Florida Keys
- Identify tree species common to South Florida, including palms, hardwoods, and protected species
- Assess tree health, structural integrity, storm risk, and hurricane preparedness needs
- Provide pruning, removal, mitigation, and maintenance recommendations consistent with ANSI A300 standards and ISA best practices
- Educate clients on proactive tree care, safety, and long-term property value preservation
Sales & Estimating
- Prepare detailed proposals for tree trimming, removals, stump grinding, palm services, hurricane cleanup, and enhancement work
- Accurately price jobs in accordance with Dot Palm Landscaping’s pricing standards and margin requirements
- Clearly explain scopes of work, exclusions, and timelines to customers
- Follow up on proposals to secure approvals and close work
Regulatory & Permitting Coordination
- Ensure compliance with county and city permitting requirements
- Coordinate permitting documentation for protected trees and mangroves, including working with county and city staff when needed
- Ensure all quoted work complies with local ordinances, environmental regulations, and permit conditions
- Communicate permit requirements and timelines clearly to clients
Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned tree care clients and property managers
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with HOAs, commercial accounts, and high-end residential clients
- Assist with contract renewals, recurring service agreements, and change orders
- Represent Dot Palm Landscaping professionally in the community
Operational Coordination
- Coordinate closely with production managers, crew leaders, and arborist teams to ensure accurate execution of quoted work
- Participate in pre-job site walkthroughs when necessary
- Conduct post-job inspections to confirm quality and customer satisfaction
- Support scheduling priorities based on urgency, storm response, or permit deadlines
Documentation & Systems
- Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and proposals in the company’s estimating and CRM systems
- Document site conditions, hazards, and client approvals
- Assist with tracking sales performance and pipeline activity
Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist (required or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 3 years of professional tree care experience in South Florida preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Florida tree species, hurricane pruning practices, and storm mitigation
- Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
