LANDSCAPE Operations Manager
COMPENSATION BASED ON EXPERIENCE: $85,000-$100,000
Greengage Urbanscape Ltd. is a well-recognized horticultural firm based in the New York City area, situated at 435 Sutter Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, conveniently near the (L) train. For over 50 years, Greengage has been setting industry standards, specializing in the installation and maintenance of exterior Softscapes. We are currently seeking an individual to join our operations department in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate must be a proven leader, comfortable with sales, reliable, organized and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Maintaining our company's image is of utmost importance to us.
This position requires a commitment of five or more days a week, offering the opportunity to work closely with the owners and gain insight into various aspects of company management.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Understand the job responsibilities for each day and prepare crews accordingly.
- Schedule and monitor crews daily through on-site visits and through tracking software.
- Carefully oversee the loading and unloading of trucks with tools and equipment for the day’s assignment.
- Coordinate and support all phases of landscape projects and daily operations.
- Schedule morning and afternoon meeting and debriefs and manage time sheet submissions.
- Provide interface between client and crews.
- Comfortable with CRM through industry specific software.
- Ensure crews are operating efficiently, with in time constraints and within budget.
- Complete projects from conception to completion.
- Work hand in hand with Account Management on procurement.
- Manage and organize crews in a way that achieves maximum productivity.
- Help Crews through clear expectations and effective modeling.
- Comfortable with working through-out the tri-state area.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Able to motivate crews in a positive way creating effective teams.
- Maintain organization in tasks and operations.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Highly Professional
- Proven leadership abilities and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable
- Must be Bilingual English/Spanish
- Clean Driving Record.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in landscape or like field
- Minimum of 5 years in management position
- Organized, motivated and desire to exceed expectations.
- Computer skills a must.
- Excellent communication skills
- Plant knowledge a Plus!
