Position purpose: Ensures a clean, safe, and beautiful environment for guests throughout the Casa de Fruta property.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks: (material responsibilities and essential duties)
- Perform general landscape maintenance (mowing, trimming, weeding, mulching, pruning)
- Install trees, shrubs, flowers, sod, and other plants according to design plans
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge cutters)
- Assist with hardscaping tasks (laying pavers, building retaining walls, installing irrigation systems)
- Remove debris and ensure the cleanliness of job sites
- Always follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Communicate with clients and team members to ensure work meets expectations
- Report issues, delays, or supply shortages to supervisors
Qualifications
- Prior landscaping or groundskeeping experience preferred
- Familiarity with common landscape tools and machinery
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical labor
- Basic understanding of plant care and landscape design principles
- Valid driver’s license (preferred or required based on company)
- Special Position Requirements:
- Any hazard, risk, security issue or related special conditions which apply to the position, i.e. chemicals used, equipment used, etc.
- Must be able to safely operate motorized vehicles (company truck, golf cart), large power tools (string-trimmer, jack hammer, chain saws, hedge trimmer, etc.) and small power tools (Roto hammer, Trimmer, etc.).
- Able to do tasks ambidextrously (weeding, trimming, raking, sweep, operate hose, etc.).
- Some exposure to cleaning products (graffiti remover, paint remover, paint, weed killer and other chemicals.)
