The University of South Carolina Upstate is a comprehensive public university and a senior institution of the University of South Carolina. U.S. News and World Report ranks USC Upstate No. 2 among Top Public Regional Colleges and No. 1 in South Carolina. Located between Charlotte and Atlanta along the I-85 corridor, one of the fastest growing regions in the country, the campus is within easy driving distance of the Appalachian mountains and Atlantic Ocean beaches. The University has an enrollment of more than 5,000 students and employs approximately 800 full and part-time faculty and staff, reflecting the diversity of Upstate South Carolina. The strong international presence in the region is likewise evident among the faculty and students, who come from more than 25 countries. The university offers 50 degree programs and its graduates provide a talent pipeline to Upstate schools, businesses and health care facilities.
