SUMMARY

The Grounds position is a full-time position that assists with the maintenance and improvement of all landscape beds, tree canopy, athletic facilities, and hardscape surfaces to ensure a safe, clean, and attractive 75-acre campus. Additionally, this position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of grounds equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for maintenance and repair of mowers, tractors, and other grounds equipment
Responsible for irrigation maintenance and repair
Maintains campus landscapes and hardscapes
Responsible for performing tasks associated with daily maintenance of athletic fields
Removes trash/debris
Prepares for special events by assisting with required set up
Installs ornamental landscapes (annual flowers and plants)
Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Proficient at equipment and auto maintenance and repair
Commercial irrigation repair and maintenance
Ability to operate and maintain reel mowers
Sports turf management experience
Ability to operate front end loader/forklift
Pesticide/fertilizer application with commercial equipment
Baseball/ Softball infield dirt maintenance and clay repair
Prior experience with school campus grounds maintenance
