Point Of Sale

Job Description:

Associates must be able to learn and be proficient in this point-of-sale program. The point of sales tasks includes entering customer information, providing status of order, and inputting additional details for orders. Other duties include answering the phone, greeting customers, directing customers to areas of interest, and page sales associated with 2-way radios for assisting customers. All responsibilities will be done by Blueview Procedures.

Inventory Specialist

INVENTORY SPECIALIST

Job Description:

This associate will be assisting inventory manager / buyer with daily tasks of receiving, counting, sizing, and tagging plant material. Responsible for organizing and displaying nursery stock. Also expected to inspect nursery stock, water plants as needed, and communicate with drivers to complete paperwork.

Specific Qualifications:

Plant knowledge and identification
Proficiency in Microsoft office and windows
Strong mathematical skills
Attention to detail, highly organized and legible handwriting

Landscape Designer / Installer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves coordinating phone calls of potential customers and repeat customers to set up site visits and evaluating their landscape needs. The landscape designer will prepare a professional proposal, meet with clients to select plant material, and provide a hand drawing. The associate will execute jobs with laborers and equipment, within time and budget to jobs specifications

Specific Qualifications:

5-10 years in the nursery/ landscape industry
Artistic ability to produce a landscape drawing on graph paper
Proven ability to read and understand blueprint
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft office, specifically excel and word

Delivery and Tree Installer

Delivery and Tree Installer:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position involves communicating professionally with customers to coordinate and deliver plant material to the customer’s home or job site. The delivery driver is responsible for reading invoices, locating tagged plants, properly loading and unloading material without causing damage, picking up material from suppliers, and at times installing plant material at the delivery site. The associate is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the trucks and ensure the nursery remains neat and tidy.

Specific Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and medical card
Ability to drive medium duty
Any certifications or licensing are a plus

LABORER

Job Description:

Associates in this position will be involved in the nursery’s daily operations. Laborers are expected to perform tasks on the farm that involve manual labor. This may include but is not limited to, digging holes, property maintenance, aiding in loading trucks and tying root balls. This position also involves the upkeep of the nurseries irrigation system, as well as hand watering in areas around the nursery.

Specific Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and medical card
Physical capabilities to perform hard labor

Machine Operator

MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Description:

This position engages in the nursery’s daily operations. This associate will be operating a skid steer to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading plant material, loam, and mulch. Associate will be responsible for daily machine maintenance (greasing, washing/cleaning, and fueling). This position also involves the upkeep of the nurseries irrigation system.

Specific Qualifications:

Experience in operating a skid-steer or other similar machinery
Valid driver’s license, medical card, and hoisting license
Irrigation knowledge of drip and overhead systems
