Woodlake Outdoor is searching for a
Landscaping Production Manager, Construction to its growing team! Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role will plan, schedule and direct crew member work, track and estimate job hours for projects, and deliver high levels of quality work and customer service to our landscape construction clients. This is a fulltime, benefit eligible role with a collaborative team culture where new hires are actively developed and mentored. Duties and responsibilities:
- Supervises and trains supervisors, crew leaders and/or crew members
- Schedules crews and projects efficiently (Gantt charts, other industry tools) to meet project timelines
- Drives to job sites to ensure job quality and work performance meets company standards while maintaining customer relationships
- Identifies material/equipment issues and communicates potential delays and/or adjusts plans to ensure project deadlines are met
- Negotiates and orders materials/equipment, ensures equipment maintenance, and schedules on-time deliveries for assigned projects
- Tracks all job costs for assigned construction projects and learns to develop, estimate and complete change orders
- Interacts with all levels of employees and staff, as well as customers
- Assists team in providing financial and billing information
- May take on other duties such as fleet management, safety training, estimating or other duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Horticulture, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Management, Landscape Construction, preferred
- 0-5+ years of landscape construction experience – commercial experience preferred; New college grads/other hires – prefer outdoor field work experience 4 – 12+ months
- Must be 21 years of age or older to drive company vehicles with trailers
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
- Able to use Office 365, Teams, Outlook, Excel, GPS time sheets and other industry software and mobile technology (photos, video, communications)
- Familiar with OSHA/Safety standards and able to ensure teams follow protocols
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through is a must
- Dependable and able to work independently on multiple tasks
- Able to read landscape plans and architectural drawings
- Professional demeanor and attitude and open to feedback and continual learning
Working conditions: This job operates in an outdoor setting approximately 80%-90%+ of the time, assessing quality, training, meeting customers, identifying change orders, evaluating work in progress, identifying plant or other issues. Must be able to drive to 1 or more job locations daily.
This role routinely uses landscaping tools and equipment and occasionally may operate machinery. This role may operate large equipment. This employee drives a company vehicle (truck/trailer).
Physical requirements: This position will have to work odd or long hours at any-time to complete special requests for projects/customers jobs. Requires ability to lift 40 lbs., walk 3-4 miles daily on job sites, and tolerate heat and cold extremes.
