Job Purpose
Responsible for assisting Grounds Manager, Director of Maintenance/Grounds and applicable organizational staff related to maintaining the property grounds, beautification of property initiatives, and events to achieve organizational objectives.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform all assigned tasks in safe manner.
- Operation of light to heavy equipment.
- Ability to perform or diagnose repair on equipment.
- Mechanical repair of any/all equipment.
- Perform general landscape maintenance of the resorts grounds and gardens including but not limited to mowing, planting, watering, pruning, weeding, mulching, pesticide applications, holiday lighting and décor installation, hardscape installations, turf irrigation, removal of trash, and snow removal.
- Availability to work year-round, weekends, and holidays throughout the year.
Qualifications
- Two years related landscape experience or related education.
- Strong customer/ guest service skills.
- Ability to work well with team environment or independently.
- Must be able to lift 50 + lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stand, climb ladders, and shovel on a frequent basis.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to work at various heights.
- Experience in operating commercial/light mowing equipment and aerial equipment.
- Ability to perform mechanical repair and maintenance on landscape equipment.
- Plant and weed identification experience a plus.
- Knowledge in proper pruning techniques.
- Knowledge in turf irrigation.
- Commercial pesticide applicator license category 3.0 Turf & Landscape or willing to attain within 1 year of employment.
