Irrigation Technician/ Commercial Technician. Our team is dedicated to delivering quality results across a range of services, including irrigation, light electrical work, and HVAC-related projects. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic team. No previous experience necessary; we will train hard working individuals who have a desire to learn and a mechanical aptitude.
Job Description:
As an Irrigation Technician, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems. Your role will also involve light electrical work and HVAC-related tasks as part of our broader commercial job scope. We value technical skill, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to service and installation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Irrigation Systems: Repair and replace sprinkler heads, water lines, pumps, and valves; install and maintain commercial irrigation systems.
- Maintenance: Oversee and perform preventative maintenance on irrigation systems.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues including leaks, broken heads, and other system concerns. Utilize manuals and online resources to address problems effectively.
- Electrical Work: Perform light electrical tasks related to irrigation systems and commercial jobs.
- HVAC Projects: Assist with HVAC-related projects as needed.
- Inspection and Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment to ensure high-quality service.
- Service Projects: Actively participate in various service and installation projects, demonstrating your technical expertise.
- Plumber Helper/Apprenticeship: Opportunities available to assist with water heater installations, toilets, and faucets (training provided).
- Vehicle Access: Utilize a company-provided work vehicle for job-related travel.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 year of commercial irrigation experience preferred; will train motivated individuals.
- Skills: Ability to handle light electrical work and HVAC-related tasks.
- License: Valid driver’s license required.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., and stand, crouch, and bend for extended periods.
- Motivation: Willingness to learn and develop skills, particularly in electrical and HVAC areas if new to the field.
