Landscape Manager
Summary
The Landscape Manager administers and directs programs that ensure Association grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained. The Landscape Manager supervises two assistant managers and 20+ employees. He or she performs responsible supervisory and administrative duties, ensuring that landscape maintenance services meet established standards.
Essential Functions
- Work with Association management to establish overall objectives regarding production, quality, and staff development. Monitor progress of objectives and ensure achievement;
- Assist in developing department budget and operate within the approved budget;
- Make recommendations for equipment or other asset purchases based upon targeted goals and operational needs;
- Ensure that landscape services meet the established guidelines by developing long range plans for the purchase and replacement of equipment, training, staffing needs, and needed contract services;
- Provide recommendations and assistance in the selection, installation, and upkeep of new and/or renovated facilities for cost reduction and successful plant selections;
- Inform personnel of safety information regarding supplies and equipment, making that information available to all employees;
- Minimize liability regarding the Association’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations by enforcing policies, laws, and regulations governing environmental protection, hazardous waste disposal, and the use of chemical substances and materials;
- Work with Human Resources to plan and direct personnel management including recruitment, hiring, discipline, promotions, terminations, setting performance objectives and evaluating progress and conducts timely performance reviews of direct reports and takes corrective action when necessary;
- Attend (including preparation and distribution of meeting materials) and actively participate/present in meetings of the Board of Directors, and other meetings as required/requested;
- Ensures that homeowners, visitors, vendors, staff, and applicants receive excellent customer service in all interactions with the department;

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and (10) years of related management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of related management experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license for the State of Arizona.
- English-Spanish bilingual is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
