We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Controller to join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions into a reality! This individual will serve as the first Controller for our $5 million dollar business. This position will develop strong financial practices and collaborate with our General Manager to provide the financial strategies to support the rapid growth of the business.
We offer a compensation package with significant earning potential and career growth opportunities. This includes an annual salary of $110,000 - $125,000 plus a full benefits package and profit sharing opportunity.
The following education, skills and experience are required for the Controller role:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, managerial finance, business administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting positions
- Advanced excel skills including: pivot tables, macros, building equations, charts and graphs
- High Proficiency with QuickBooks, MS Office and job costing technologies
- Solid data analytics and audit skills
- Experience processing daily A/R, A/P and reconciliations a must
- Strong analytical, technical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience developing budgets and tracking budgets and cashflow
- Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
- Strong financial acumen and process orientation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Our Controller will be driven and comfortable in a fast paced, growing company where they will have the ability to map out the growth plan to our next annual marker. They’ll be analytical, diligent, and adaptable while setting up our financial reporting procedures, departmental budget planning, and deciding company measurements and KPIs.
Additional Controller responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:- Manages the preparation of the financial analysis of the organization, including:
- Overseeing the monthly and year end closing process and preparation of financial statements and cash flow projections
- Managing the process for A/R and A/P
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Analyzing and interpreting financial reports to understand trends in profitability, performance against budget and other key measures of the financial health of the organization
- Recommending changes to organization processes and strategy to improve financial results
- Collaborates with other managers to ensure the accuracy of systems and efficiencies of the process, including:
- Identifying opportunities to improve the accounting practices, internal controls, and processes
- Implementing a variety of change initiatives
- Interpreting and leveraging data to drive business decisions
