Position Overview:
The Irrigation & Lighting Service Manager will play a crucial role in leading our residential irrigation and lighting teams. This position involves overseeing field operations, managing CRM systems, training and mentoring staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring safety, and upholding the highest quality standards to guarantee client satisfaction. This is a year-round, full-time position for someone looking to grow with our sustainable company.
Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire the irrigation and lighting teams, promoting a positive work ethic and aligning with the company’s mission, core values, and culture.

Operations Oversight: Utilize CRM systems to manage schedules, service routing, and work orders. Ensure accurate data entry and client information management.

Daily Operations: Coordinate and direct teams each morning, reviewing work orders, loading/unloading necessary parts, and setting clear expectations.

Field Support: Provide hands-on assistance with project planning, troubleshooting, and quality control. Service properties as needed based on technical expertise or client requirements.

Performance Management: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) focusing on gross profit margin, technician efficiency, and utilization rates. Report these metrics to the division manager and president as requested.

Safety Coordination: Serve as the Safety Coordinator, ensuring all safety regulations are enforced and adhered to. Lead weekly safety training sessions with relevant topics.

Inventory & Facility Management: Perform inventory counts, maintain records, and ensure adequate stock levels for upcoming projects. Organize the facility to enhance workflow and prepare for seasonal shifts.

Client Interaction: Collaborate with sales and account managers to assist in client meetings, estimate preparation, and on-site inspections. Identify opportunities to upsell additional services.

Staff Development: Provide ongoing training and mentoring to both veteran and new staff, fostering their career growth within the organization and the industry.

Collaboration: Work closely with the division manager and HR to identify staffing needs, assist in hiring, and evaluate employee performance.
Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape irrigation and/or lighting, with demonstrated knowledge in these areas.

Blueprint Reading: At least 1 year of experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Licensing: Valid Chauffeur License and a clean driving record, along with a valid Michigan DOT Card.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, climbing, and walking.

Work Schedule: Availability to work full-time Monday through Saturday, with flexibility as required by seasonal demands.
