- Our client is a commercial construction and landscape equipment company that has been in business for the past couple decades. They serve the Construction markets and specialize in geotextiles and erosion control products. They are headquartered in Kilmarnock, VA where there store is as well as 2 large warehouses that allow them to deliver quickly and efficiently to their customers.
- Currently, they are looking for a Regional Sales Representative to join their team to further continue their growth. The Regional Sales Representative must be a self-starter with direct outside sales and construction or landscaping equipment experience. Selling to contractors and landscapers is a huge need as this is the target customer.
Responsibilities
- Make daily Sales calls, Office visits, Construction Site visits
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new customers.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with construction companies, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand their equipment needs.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including leads, opportunities and closed deals.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance within the territory.
- Strong focus on providing the highest levels of customer service
- Problem-solving for existing client’s and potential customers
- Travel within the designated territory to meet with clients, attend industry events, and conduct on-site visits.
Qualifications
- 3 + years’ experience in equipment and sales of equipment to the commercial construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree a plus but will look at experience over degree.
- Demonstrated and verifiable track record of establishing strong relationships with contractors in the area.
- Existing and detailed working knowledge of the local contractor markets, account base or relationships with key decision makers are a plus.
Compensation
- Base salary up to 80k/year, plus a lucrative commission plan
