Position: Project Manager, Estimator, Designer – Landscape Construction
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 7 years of experience in landscape construction or related industries
- Experience in estimating and operations for both residential and commercial landscape projects (ranging from small residential projects to multi-year, multimillion-dollar commercial projects)
- Familiarity with commonly used services, tools, and equipment in landscape construction
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license (must be approved by our current insurance company to operate company vehicles)
- Knowledge of local standard practices, applications, codes, procedures, products, and services related to the trade
- Ability to pass a full background check and obtain access approval to statewide military installations
Landscape Management Duties:
- Meet with current and potential clients to assess their needs
- Develop project packages and proposals
- Review landscape plans, take accurate measurements, and estimate project quantities and timelines
- Coordinate scheduling, manpower, and equipment for project completion
- Provide field supervision and manage project start-up and close-out with owners
Job Conditions:
- Year-round position
- Summer months (April 15 - November 15): Heavier workload, typically Monday through Saturday (7 AM - 6 PM)
- Winter months (November 16 - April 14): Reduced workload, Monday through Friday (9 AM - 3 PM) with potential snow removal duties
- Participation in snow removal services, including managing and operating snow-related equipment for sites in Anchorage and surrounding areas
- Occasional travel for out-of-town projects, with per diem compensation as per state statute
- Expectation of rotating out-of-town responsibilities among project managers
Landscape projects commonly include:
- Grading and excavation
- Topsoil installation
- Sod or Hydroseed
- Planting trees and shrubs
- Installing rock or mulch beds
- Constructing retaining walls
- Installing paver patios
- Water features
- Constructing fences
- Decking
- Concrete work and site prep
- Asphalt work and site prep

Vacation:
1 week paid vacation after 1 year of employment, 2 weeks after 2 years
